When we were in France over Christmas and the whole French side of the family was together, Lisa got a message from Jean-Habib’s company in Canada that he was awarded “Rep Of The Year”. Quite impressive, because he it’s the second year running.

Jean-Habib did not know, yet, and the company asked – just like last time – the family to prepare a little surprise movie that’d be played during the award ceremony in January.

It was December 20 and there were 24 hours to get this done.

No idea why these guys needed the movie so much in advance, but I guess they calculated in a lot of editing. Jean-Habib was only one of what I suppose were several people who got an award and whose families were all asked to send in movies. That can be messy, I guess.

Anyway, this is where I felt I could maybe help.
So I took over and bugged everybody in the family for fraction of seconds action. All of this happened at Joy and Yann’s house, and while Jean-Habib was not around during the day, he was in the evening. This resulted in some dramatic moments where we even recorded footage when he was virtually next door or was out for just a few minutes.

With all this material, I then build a little movie with the trailer feature in iMovie:

And today Jean-Habib sent a message to the family (which means I can put the movie finally on the blog). Sounded as if he liked it…

(He’d better – I still owe Lamia a wedding anniversary dinner.)
