In celebration of moving to the new site everybody was encouraged to write a message that will go into a “time capsule”. In 10 years from now it will be opened and the messages from the past will be… I don’t know… trashed, I guess.
Here’s the one I wrote today:
Hi there, folks.
Now it’s 10 years since we’ve moved to the new (…) technical center. What an amazing place and a great location to work at! The labs are still empty, but luckily the coffee machines work just fine. I hope that the excitement and energy that is pulsating through this young organization right now is still the same 10 years later. [The company] in Singapore will make huge leaps and I cannot wait to look back in a decade from now to see what we will have accomplished by then!
I consider myself fortunate that I can be part of this great team!
Coincidentally, November 1 – just a week ago – marked my 14th year with [the company]. So when the time capsule is opened I will be 24 years with the company. Maybe I should ask for a salary increase…
