Tenryū-ji is a temple, right there in the Bamboo forest. It’s one of these places where those colorful and lush green Japanese gardens one has in mind when thinking of the country come to life.

Oskar was very interested in this little well here…
… which can be mostly attributed to a set of adorable frog sculptures sitting in its center:
Once he realized that throwing coins into the water was a thing, he wanted to have a go, too:
It took a bit of work, but the coin eventually landed in the water, though far away from the coveted frogs.
Moving on, the whole temple is a very pleasant place to experience, but I particularly liked the lake view from this building:
It’s nice to sit there, relax a little…
… and enjoy the Japanese landscape.
