I would have given up already and retry again later. Lamia, however, insisted to be persistent and we powered the potty training with Thomas through the whole long Chinese New Year weekend.
And it did not go well.
At one point where you repeatedly clean and change shorts and undies you start wondering whether your 2-year-old is not peeing into the potty just to bully you.
Then Lamia and I went back to work today and… Thomas did really good and successfully used the potty thrice. Each time with Aggie, of course – what can I tell you: he just loves her more than us. The fourth successful pee delivery happened with me, though, so there is hope for us.
Now I am happy we stayed on the pee case for a little longer. And only a few things make you feel like a parent more than proudly showing a potty full of light yellow liquid to your spouse, friends and family.
